Aalto is a Finnish origin brand founded by designer Tuomas Merikoski who proposes a sophisticated wardrobe with a non-conformist attitude. It was born from the curiosity to explore the constant rivalry between the raw essence of the Finnish youth and French elegant refinement. 

Since 2015, Aalto studio is based in Paris and has been presenting in Paris Fashion Week, in Milan and Helsinki with runway shows and creative presentations, and won wide recognition as finalists of the prestigious LVMH and ANDAM Prizes. 

Recently Aalto has taken engagement to explore radically responsible manufacturing of fashion, and transparency, with a bigger global goal that we  all should participate in: saving our home planet. In 2022 it launched a new innovative line and system called Recoded™ and moved to the Fashion Green Hub’s circular manufacture “Plateau Fertile”. Aalto Recoded™ offers a new series of digital-enabled QR labels and more transparency in production, while pursuing the Aalto brand DNA in a larger context evolving from only womenswear to menswear and accessories.
